Mid Michigan Painting a division of MMP Professional Services is proud to be part of its new natural-gas power plant in St. Clair County. The 30-acre, $1-billion Blue Water Energy Center would create 1,150 megawatts of electricity for the Detroit-based utility company. The facility, the first plant DTE has built since 1984, is expected to be Michigan’s most fuel-efficient power plant. It would provide electricity to 850,000 homes

Mid Michigan Painting a division of MMP Professional Services is proud to be part of the Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) new, cleaner and more efficient $500 million natural gas-fired Delta Energy Park Project. The new plant will generate 250 megawatts and create and estimated 1,200 construction jobs. Located at the Erickson Power Station in Delta Township, the new plant will replace both BWL’s coal-fired plants, Eckert and Erickson Power Stations, when they retire in 2020 and 2025 respectively, and will be the BWL’s second natural gas plant. Retiring both plants will make the BWL to become the largest utility in Michigan to generate coal-free power by 2025, reducing its carbon emissions by 80 percent.

Veteran’s National Memorial & Museum Project Fort Wayne, Indiana Misener Industrial Painting & Restoration (MIP&R) a sister company of MMP Professional Services had the wonderful opportunity of being part of the donated restoration project at the Veteran’s National Memorial & Museum in Fort Wayne Indiana. MIP&R donated equipment and materials to have the original military guns, anchors and equipment gently vapor blasted and fully restored. MIP&R also donated new American themed park benches and wood chips. The best part at the end of the project was to attend the Korean War Vets armistice anniversary ceremony. We got to meet so many wonderful people from the Korean War and just get to talk with them and their life experiences and how they and their families gave for our country and the world. Everyone at MIP&R were so honored, proud and touched by being part of this donation project and seeing how touched the Vets were when they saw the completed park. Below are pictures from that day and the restoration project. Thank you for taking the time to view this and remembering all the men, women and families who serve our country.
